The Suicide Squad Movie Storyline
Amanda Waller, an intelligence agent, gathers two Task Force X teams—affectionately known as the Suicide Squad—made up of Belle Reve prison convicts who promise to take out a mission in return for reduced sentences. They are sent to demolish the Nazi-era facility Jötunheim, which houses a covert experiment known as “Project Starfish,” after its government is toppled by an anti-American dictatorship on the South American island country of Corto Maltese. One crew, headed by Waller’s deputy Colonel Rick Flag, is almost destroyed by the Corto Maltese troops upon arrival, leaving only Flag and Harley Quinn alive. As a result of the confusion, the second squad is able to enter the nation unnoticed. They make up the second squad, which is commanded by mercenary Bloodsport, who accepted the task to save his daughter from being imprisoned in Belle Reve. They discover Banner in a rebel base camp and persuade rebellion commander Sol Soria to help them.

The climactic fight is also repetitious, since it follows the smashing a city to rescue the world’ cliche once again. The Suicide Squad, on the overall, is a violent, brutal action spectacle that the DCEU urgently needed. It’s also a movie that pays homage to several DC comic book characters that may never have seen the light of day else. Fans may now be able to make ‘peace’ with DC’s difficult history in recent films, according to the post-credit sequence that provides a preview of what is intended for the future.
