A Quiet Place Part II Movie Storyline

The Abbott family, including wife Evelyn, husband Lee, deaf daughter Regan, sons Marcus and Beau, and numerous spectators, observe a weird asteroid-like object traverse towards the Earth during a baseball game. Extraterrestrial beings invade and start butchering humans. The blind monsters have armored skin, superhuman speed and strength, and acute hearing that allows them to hunt down and attack anything that makes a noise.

The monsters had murdered a large portion of the Earth’s inhabitants, including Beau and Lee, over a year later. Regan discovers that high-frequency audio feedback renders the monsters susceptible, so she devises an improvised technique of transferring the sounds from her auditory implant through a handheld microphone.

A Quiet Place Part II Movie Review

A Quiet Place Part II is a horror film with a steady stream of well-crafted horrors. The notion of not making a sound is so powerful that it works just as effectively in plain view as it did in the gloomy light of the Abbotts’ house, and you’ll find you catching your breathe with the actors.

That’s why, as annoying as the wait has been, you’ll be relieved to learn that the sequel has been delayed for a theatrical release. The utter quiet can’t be replicated at home, and the wonderful sound design wouldn’t be half as impactful. It’s unquestionably a big-screen horror film, particularly when Krasinski delivers a wince-inducing scene that matches the nail joke from A Quiet Place.

A Quiet Place Part II maintains the suspense and terror of the original film while also adding something new to the universe. Any lingering reservations regarding a sequel will be dispelled.
