Chhalaang Movie Storyline
Mahender Singh Hooda aka Montu works as a physical training instructor (PTI) at a school in Haryana, a position he gained because to his father Kamlesh Singh Hooda’s connections as a lawyer. He lives with his parents and brother and spends the most of his time hanging out and playing about with Mr. Shukla, his teacher-buddy. Montu falls in love with Neelima Mehra when she starts as a new computer instructor at Montu’s school, and the two begin to develop extremely close when she gives him her nickname, Neelu.
Montu is surprised to learn that the school recruited a new PTI, Inder Mohan Singh, since the government mandated that PTIs have a physical education degree, which Montu lacked. Montu reluctantly takes a position as Inder Mohan’s assistant. Montu soon sees that Inder Mohan is a much superior physical education instructor than him, and he is enraged when Neelu begins to spend more time with Inder Mohan.

Chhalaang Movie Review
Interestingly, the creators of ‘Chhalaang’ never seem to take the risk of turning it into a high-octane athletic event. The film also doesn’t go into the complexities of a charming love tale. It simply hints at the possibility of turning it into a love triangle.
However, there are a few moments in the second half that add some spice to the action. ‘Chhalaang’ contains a prep flashback song with the underdogs battling it out in the lead up to D-day, much like any sports film. Then there are certain sequences that use realistic settings to teach pupils physical training courses.
Rajkummar Rao is excellent as the uninterested PT instructor, but his portrayal of the small-town youngster next door is just too repetitious. Perhaps it’s because he focuses so much of his work on tales set in rural India. Character actors, on the other hand, provide the greatest authenticity to the storey while also providing much-needed comedic relief. A great Saurabh Shukla leads the cast, which also includes Ila Arun, Satish Kaushik, and an appealing Baljinder Kaur. She gives a heartfelt performance as Montu’s mother.
