Shafali Verma was born on Wed, January 28, 2004 (age: 16 years, as in 2020) in Rohtak Haryana. Her Sun/zodiac sign is Aquarius. Shafali Verma is currently doing her schooling from Mandeep Senior Secondary School, Rohtak, Haryana. In 2018, at the age of 14, seeing her exceptional performance and big-hitting skills, she entered Haryana’s Under-16 women’s team.

Sanjeev originally coached Shaifali for three years, before allowing him in 2016 at the Ram Narayan Cricket Club, Rohtak. Her mother, Praveen Bala is a housewife. In September 2019, Shafali was named in India’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for the series against South Africa. Shafali made her WT 20I debut for India on 24 September 2019 at the age of fifteen against South Africa. Shafali was the youngest woman to play for India in a T20I match and became the youngest woman in India to score a half-century in international cricket, upon the West Indies in November 2014. Upon the West Indies, Shafali scored 158 runs in five matches and was named the player of the series.

In January 2020, Shafali was named in India’s squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia and was awarded a central contract by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ahead of the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Shafali was ranked as the number one batsman in women’s T20I cricket.
