Romeo Akbar Walter Movie Storyline

A guy gets tortured to the third degree in an ISI detention cell in Karachi in November 1971. The film then jumps forward 9 months.

After foiling a bank heist orchestrated by RAW operatives to test his talents for espionage in Pakistan, Shrikant Rai, the RAW’s Chief, hires Rehamatullah Ali a.k.a. Romeo, a banker, in 1971. He travels to Pakistan after receiving military and secret training sessions.

In Pakistan, he assumes the name Akbar Malik and is assisted in his actions by Joker and Mudassar, two Pakistani natives who work with RAW. Planned events move him closer to his intended target, Isaq Afridi, whose faith in him grows as Akbar not only convinces him of his hate for India, but also protects him from an attack by Nawab Afridi’s henchmen. RAW is alerted by Akbar of a planned assault on Badlipur that will result in the deaths of innocent people in both India and East Pakistan. However, Afridi’s feelings for Akbar grow stronger, and he refuses to betray him when the Nawab contacts him with a volunteer to work for him.

Romeo Akbar Walter Movie Review

The cast members tries their hardest, especially Amin, who is the only one who seems to be having fun. Sikander, who plays a Pakistani general, works hard to perfect his accent. It sounds terrific at first, but apart from a point, it is becoming too much of a display, the only nail on which the act seems to hang. There really are close of Abraham’s eyes and exposed facial pores in the spirit of crispness. Even from so close of a distance, the camera is unable to capture a single glint of emotion on his stoic face.

Considering the main components it presents, Romeo Akbar Walter might have been a considerably more engaging picture if the mood and aspect flaws had been addressed more thoroughly. The film’s unstable atmospherics prevent it from portraying the snip of the milieu in which the action takes place. Romeo Akbar Walter does not give enough contrasts in lighting and mood to increase the level of expression of what happens on the screen, which is necessary for a picture in which the tale must develop in a gloomy, frightening environment where seeing is not always believing.
