He played for Karnataka in domestic cricket and in 2008 he was selected for the under 19 cricket world cup. He was selected for the Mumbai Indians team in the 2008 IPl auctions. In 2009 he was picked by royal challengers Bangalore in this season he scored a century in the match and became the first person to score a century in the Indian premier league. And in 2018 Auctions he was bought in 11 crores for sunrisers Hyderabad.

• Manish Pandey is an Indian cricketer. He shot to fame after becoming the first Indian to score a century in the IPL, and he achieved this feat while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2009 IPL semi-final against Deccan Chargers.
• When he was 15 years old, he moved to Bangalore with his family. His father, who was in the Indian Army, was transferred to the reserve a few years later. However, Manish decided to stay back in Bangalore and pursue cricket.
• Manish Pandey was born in Nainital his father was an army officer so he transferred to Bangalore at an age of 15 where he started playing cricket.
• He was trained under coach Mr. Sathish from childhood to till he joined Karnataka state cricket Association (KSCA). He is an excellent coach.
• In the Karnataka premier league, he used to play for mysuru warriors in 2014 he and his team won the title.
