Kurup is a 2021 Indian Malayalam language sports drama film directed by Srinath Rajendran. It is produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banners of Dream Warrior Pictures (Tamil)Aditi Enterprises (Telugu and Kannada)UFO Moviez Films. The film star Dulquer Salmaan, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sobhita Dhulipala, Bharath Srinivasan, Tovino Thomas, Shine Tom Chacko, Shivajith, and, Sunny Wayne, are in title roles. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam.

Kurup was the first Indian film to use a series of NFTs to promote its release. Film merchandise was also issued as part of the marketing. Kurup Movie Storyline

Kurup, born Gopikrishna Kurup, is compelled by his uncle to join the Indian Air Force after failing to complete his education. He finds and greets Peter at the IAF, who was also forcefully drafted amidst his love of music. The Air Force sends Peter and Kurup, along with a few other detainees, to Bombay a few weeks later. There, Peter begins to enjoy his new life, while Kurup meets and likes Sharadamma, the daughter of his uncle’s maid, and develops feelings for her. Later, Peter learns that Kurup, who had been in the hospital for a few days, had committed himself. He notifies Sharada of this. Sharada, on the other hand, receives word that Kurup is still alive and meets him in a station, where Kurup reveals his new identity, Sudhakara Kurup. Kurup seems to have invented his death in order to escape the monotony of the police force. He marries Sharada shortly after and the two go to Persia to start a new life. Further challenges, however, force Kurup to make rash choices, and he returns to his hometown with his office assistant and right-hand man Sabu.

From army buddies to police officers who studied his case, we watch his narrative develop through the eyes of many. The plot is difficult to explain, much like the panel’s blueprint, but the producers keep you on the verge of giving up the whole time, even though the presentation jumps back through time to trace Kurup’s ascension, nefarious ambitions, and inexplicable sins. Dulquer Salmaan has done an excellent job as the fraudster, and the entire cast, notably Sobhitha, Shine Tom, and Indrajith, have all performed well.
