De Ijazat Drama Series Storyline

It concerns two households. One is a middle-class household, while the other belongs to a very wealthy, upper-class family of a businessman. Dua (Zarnish) works as a reporter on a news channel to help her struggling family. Her parents want her to be married as quickly as possible, although the family is not particularly supportive of her. She is not psychologically prepared for this, but under pressure from her parents, she gets ready when a matchmaker enters with a match.

All of a sudden, her in-laws insist that they accept their son in exchange for their daughter. The son, who has an internet affair in America, is not prepared for this and wants to travel there. He gathers all the money and jewels the night before the wedding and flees. Due to this occurrence, the wedding ceremony is called off, and Duaa’s in-laws become extremely irate and act inappropriately toward her mother and father. The situation becomes quite critical when her father has a heart attack.

De Ijazat Drama Series Review

The Pakistani drama De Ijazat tells a true-life narrative of love and suffering rather than a fairy tale. This appears to be a genuine account of Pakistan’s current social structure, where there is a significant wealth difference. Because the wealthy have their own way of life and the lower middle class also have their own way of life, there is a fight that, as is customary and is problematic for women in our culture, and Duua is forced to make every effort to fit in.

Women are supposed to give up their careers and egos for the family in our society. This was to be anticipated from Duua. So, in my opinion, the narrative accurately reflected our culture and looked to be quite true to reality.
