He started his career as a comedian on stageshow and later branched out into television and film. In January 2020, he joined the second season of the Malayalam reality show Bigg Boss. He was known to imitate actors and appeared regularly in stage shows put on by his theater company in India and abroad. Saju is the captain of the Celebrity Cricket Fraternity (CCF) team Mimicry Artists Association Fighter (MAA Fighters).
