Rowan Atkinson is a British actor, comedian and author. He had lead roles in the sitcoms Blackadder (1983-1989) and Mr. Bean (1990-1995) and the film series Johnny English (2003-2018). His other film credits include the James Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983), the role of a clumsy minister in For Weddings and a Funeral (1994), He voiced Zazu the red-billed hornbill in The Lion King (1994) and Rufus, a jewelry salesman in Love Actually (2003).

• He played his Mr. Bean in the film adaptations His Bean (1997) and Mr. Bean’s Holiday (2007). Atkinson also appeared in the BBC sitcom The Thin Blue Line (1995–1996) and played the title his character in ITV’s Maigret (2016–2017).

• His acting credits include the role of Fagin in the West End revival of the musical Oliver! 2009 Atkinson was listed as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy by The Observer in 2003 and was named among the top 50 comedians of all time in a 2005 poll of other comedians.
