• Crosby played Kristin Shepherd (Sue Ellen Ewing’s scheming sister) in the Dallas primetime soap opera from 1979 to 1981, and made another guest appearance in 1991.

• In the next season’s fourth episode, “Who Done It,” Dallas was split up entitled “A Divided House.” In this acclaimed episode, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) is shot dead by someone. Viewers wondered if J.R. would survive and which of his many enemies was responsible.

• In the summer of 1980, the slogan “Who shot J.R.?” In the end, it turned out that it was Kristin Shepard who triggered the classic episode that aired on November 21, 1980.

• It was one of the highest rated episodes of any TV show ever aired. Her character Christine Shepherd briefly returned to Dallas in 1981 after appearing in the Dallas spin-off series Not Landing in 1980.
