• Kamlesh was born in Barmer, Rajasthan, India in the middle class Kumaoni Rajput family.
• His father Lachham Singh Nagarkoti is a Retired Honorary Captain.
• His bowling talent was first discovered by coach Surendra Rathore in the cantonment area in Jaipur. Surendra saw that his bowling techniques are much better than the other older players in the team. After that, he was admitted to the Jaipur Cricket academy.

• He was invited for the trials in the Mumbai Indian IPL team but he was not eligible because he did not play any Ranji Trophy match before.
