Aashram Web Series Storyline
The character of the story is a preacher named Baba Nirala, whose adherents have unwavering confidence in him and will do anything he commands of them. However, Baba Nirala is actually a conman turned godman who makes sure that his followers give him their money and remain devoted to the ashram for life. Politicians Hukum Singh compete for his support in the upcoming State Assembly Elections due to his large following for their vote bank politics, and this competition only intensifies after popstar Tinka Singh decides to go on excursions with Baba Nirala to promote his new song.
Until he meets Dr. Natasha in a case involving a skeleton discovered on the grounds of an industrial business that has strong links to Sundar Lal, SI Ujagar Singh is a policeman who isn’t really engaged in his work and only follows his supervisors’ instructions. He is persuaded to take on this case with the help of his assistant senior constable Sadhu Sharma by her persistent nagging and the tenacity of a small-time writer named Akhivendra Rathi, also known by the pen name Akki.

Esha Gupta portrays a young brand manager who pledges to enhance Baba’s reputation and spread it over the globe, turning Baba into Bhagwan! She doesn’t forget to throw in an item number while she’s at it, but the authors fail to remember that using such a cliched filmic technique in a web series is never a good sign. It only demonstrates how little the universe of possibilities has become. Sanyal is a competent actor, and Deol’s smarminess worked the first time we saw it, but this third season’s attempt to expand on both character aspects has been thoroughly botched.
By the second season, the show had lost its caste-and-class edge, which was director Prakash Jha’s speciality.
