This is the story of the battle in which Rananayak Tanhaji won the fort of Sinhagad while fighting fearlessly, but died while accomplishing. When King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj came to know about the death of his warrior, he said – ‘Gadh Ala, Pan Sinh Gela’ means that he won the fort but lost his lion. This story starts from the period when Sinhagad used to be called Kondhana. The fort, created at a height of about seven and a half hundred meters, was ruled by a Rajput commander Udayabhan.

King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj wanted to win back this fort. And for this, he gave responsibility to Tanhaji. And Tanhaji having received Shivaji’s command reached there with his troops. Tanhaji chose night time for this battle. That night Tanhaji gathered with his soldiers under the fort. The walls of the fort were so high that it was not possible to climb them easily. The climb was very straight.

When nothing happened, Tanhaji started climbing upwards with four-five brave soldiers. Climbing up slowly, Tanhaji reached near the fort. After this Tanhaji wrapped the rope Tanhaji carried with him to a tree and put it down. After this, other soldiers also could reach the fort above.

The story of this battle known as the war of Sinhagad has published in the class four books published by Bal Bharti, an organization of the Government of Maharashtra. But now a film is being made on Tanhajis heroism and this war, in which Ajay Devgan will be seen in the role of Tanhaji.

It is said that when King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj got the order to achieve this fort, Tanhaji was busy at his son’s marriage. But on receiving this order, Tanhaji said that now he will put up with the fort first, then there will be the talk of marriage. Professor Anirudh Deshpande, who teaches history at Delhi University, tells the story behind this war. He says, “These forts were allocated to Aurangzeb in 1665 under the Purandar Treaty between the Mughal Empire and King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Along with this, 23 other forts were also found by the Mughals.”

After the Treaty of 1665, King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj went to Agra to meet Aurangzeb. But when he was imprisoned there, King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj somehow exited from Agra to Maharashtra and rejected the Purandar Treaty and started the process of recovering all 23 of his forts. “Deshpande says,” strategically it There was a very important fort.

At that time, a Rajput commander named Udaybhan Rathod was shielding the main fort. And Tanhaji Malusare was accompanied by his brother Surya Malusare. “Discovered in Haveli Tehsil, 20 km southwest of Pune city, this fort has an area of 70,000 square kilometers. One gate of the fort opens towards Pune and the other one opens towards Kalyan. The book printed by Balabharati states that when Tanhaji dominated the fort, Surya Ji with his army reached the fort’s wellness gate and waited for the door to open.

When Udaybhan came to know about this, a huge battle broke out between the two groups. Meanwhile, some warriors of Tanhaji went and opened the Kalyan gate. And Surya ji’s warriors came inside. A brutal battle happened between Tanhaji and Udayabhan. But Udaybhan dived at him and Tanhajis shield was broken by Udayabhan’s blows. But even after this, both kept fighting each other. And finally both died there.

On seeing Tanhaji dying, Maratha soldiers began running here and there. Meanwhile Surya ji reached there and he found Tanhaji falling on the ground. After this, when Surya Ji saw the warriors running away, he told the soldiers that your general is dead fighting and you are running away. I have cut the rope to come down, now either jump from the fort and kill or openly attack your enemies.

There is a story that the Maratha army used a giant lizard to climb the fort. The rope was tied to this lizard. When this lizard reached the fort, the soldiers started climbing the fort after that. But Anirudh Deshpande does not seem to agree with this. Another writer Stewart Gordon also wrote in his book ‘The Marathas’ that Maratha soldiers climbed the fort after being thrown down the rope.

It was said about the fort of Kondha that Poona will also own whoever has this fort. In such a condition, when Tanhaji won this fort, Shivaji changed the name of this fort to Sinhgad Fort. Shortly after Tanhaji won this fort, Aurangzeb once again won this fort. But after this, Navaji Balkawade reclaimed the fort while fighting like Tanhaji And finally, Queen Tarabai won this fort by fighting Aurangzeb.

Tanhaji : The Unsung Warrior Movie Review

Ajay Devgan has done an Excellent job in Tanaji’s role. A brutal and loyal soldier who can do anything for his Swarajya and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Ajay Devgan has played this role very well.

Kajol plays Savitri Bai in the film, who is Tanaji’s spouse. Kajol and Ajay Devgan’s pair is as wonderful as ever. Kajol earns whatever scene she comes in.

At the similar time, Saif Ali Khan is providing tremendous competition to Ajay with his powerful action. In front of Saif, your attention will not go to any other actor. In Udaybhan Rathore’s incredibly intense character, Saif has taken such a life that you will remember him in times to come. Saif’s brutal style and his eager eyes make him huger than other actors. The crash between Ajay and Saif is also worth watching.

In the movie, apart from Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Ajay Devgan, Sharad Kelkar played Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Luke Kenny as Aurangzeb, Padmavati Rao, Jeeja Bai, Devdatta Suryaji Malusare, Neha Sharma. Apart from these, other supporting cast has also done their work very well and have participated to improve this film.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is made by director Om Raut And His work is good, the direction and editing are also nice. However, the rate of the movie will feel very slow in the first half. Actors do not have much power in their words, as important as they are talking. Animals were not used much in the film, due to which the help of VFX has been taken. VFX has been used to show personalities riding and war,

The biggest strength of the film is its effort progressions. The battle of Marathas and Mughals who landed on the battleground is worth watching. The choreography of the action sequence is very powerful and this is what makes the second half of the film interesting. The second half of the movie keeps you connected to your seat and the war going on the screen takes home in your mind.

Apart from this, the cinematography and editing of the film are good. You will love the grandeur and visuals of the movie sets. Also, the music and background score of the film is very good, which adds life to the film.
