• Ramesh made his acting debut in the Telugu film Vidyaldi (2004) produced by his father R.B. Chowdhury’s studio, Super Good Films. Ramesh received negative reviews for his first lead role.
• He then starred in his first Tamil film jithan (2005), a remake of the Hindi film Gayab (2004). Directed by Vincent Selva and produced by Ladhan Mediaworks, the film stars Ramesh as an introverted student who acquires superpowers and co-stars with Pooja.
